Tokyo Park/Hamarikyu Oncho Garden/浜離宮恩賜庭園

Japanese Attraction

Hamarikyu Oncho Garden is a great garden in the Edo period.
There is a tide pond in the garden.
The atmosphere is changed by the tide of the sea.
The buildings of the tea house that were destroyed by the Great Kanto Earthquake and the war are being restored.

Hamarikyu Oncho Garden

Nakano Gomon gate is just beside the Metropolitan Expressway.
Enter the entrance next to Shinbashi and the buildings of Hamamatsucho, and after a while you will see a large garden.

You can hear the noise of the city for a while from the entrance, but you can enjoy the time-tripped garden when you go forward.

Kamino Taka tea room is a restored one.
You can watch an interesting video of recorded restoration there.

Matcha tea and confectionery can be enjoyed at Nakajima Ochaya (a tea room).

As the view is expanded and you can enjoy the garden, I recommend the view from the hill of Fujimiyama.

Take a walk along the riverside and go toward Otemon Gate, you can see the flower garden.

There is a magnificent 300 year cedar right next to the Otemon Gate.
